Traditional and Same-Sex Weddings & Ceremonies
Jane Yoga offers personalized wedding ceremonies for people from Vermont and couples from out of state who choose to get married here. Throughout the past few years, Jane Jarecki Lanza and Ben Lanza have performed traditional and same-sex weddings at venues ranging from ski-resorts to state parks, remote beaches to chic hotels, country inns to open fields and mountain tops. Whatever the tone of your wedding, Jane and Ben can help you create the exact ceremony you envisage. Jane and Ben each officiate nondenominational weddings and ceremonies as a minister through the Universal Life Church. Each wedding and ceremony is customized for the couple or person being celebrated.
“Jane provided an inspiring and emotional wedding ceremony experience for us. From the time we initially approached her about officiating our ceremony, through the many planning stages and discussions, the ceremony itself, and her thoughtful post-ceremony well wishes and follow-up upon our return from our honeymoon, we felt that Jane truly cared about ensuring that our wedding ceremony was everything we wanted it to be. She demonstrated infinite flexibility and patience as we continuously shifted gears—everything from the date and time, the venue, the number of guests we intended, the type of ceremony we wanted, and so on—and performed a perfectly radiant ceremony for us. Jane was exceptionally accommodating throughout the entire process, including exchanging ideas and suggestions over breakfasts, coffeehouse discussions, prompt e-mail dialogues, and she was cheerfully willing to humor us with whatever we ultimately decided—be it a sunrise ceremony atop a mountain (or from a hot-air balloon) or a sunset lakeside ceremony. She was adamant that the event should reflect who we are as individuals and as a couple, and she took great care to ensure that we felt absolutely comfortable with her from the very beginning. Jane is a powerful, confident speaker with a grace and sense of peace that was an outstanding performance in itself. Our wedding ceremony, with Jane’s guidance, was precisely what we wanted it to be and remains for us a treasured memory.” September 28, 2010 – Sara Ensey
