Absolutely no cannabis is included with the sale of this retreat.

The sale and use of Cannabis remains illegal under federal law. The Federal Government does not recognize cannabis as having any medicinal value. State and local laws vary with regards to both the recreational and medicinal use of Cannabis. It is the responsibility of both travelers and hosts to ensure that all of their activities are consistent with relevant laws. Jane Lanza makes no representation with regards to the legality of the activities that occur on the properties that advertise on this website, and disclaims any liability stemming from the transportation, provision, sale, and use of Cannabis by travelers and properties that use this website.

Many tourists are surprised to learn that though recreational cannabis use is legal in Vermont after July 1, 2018, public consumption is illegal. Most hotels do not allow cannabis consumption. But thanks to its small number of rooms and secluded mountainside location, Sheady Acres is able to allow cannabis consumption for our private group, per state guidelines, in all public areas. For safety reasons, the resort does not allow smoking inside cabins but provides many outdoor smoking areas like the bonfire, hot tub, riverside, on the cabin’s patios and porches, on the walking trails, and more.
