Thank you goddess. Your company on this retreat inspires me still. Along with the energy we activated together within. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback. It is all helpful. We look forward to connecting with you again in person. In the meanwhile, we will be connected to you though the divine feminine energy uniting each of us, the wild woman within, the echoes of the chants we sang, the flow of the tides, the imprints of our practice. Namaste light one.
YogaNOW Goddess Episode | Energy Meditation Practice | Goddess Reading List
Worldwide, the Goddess goes by many names and can be seen with many faces. Goddess energy manifests as divine, creative, flowing, and unconditional love. Goddess energy lives on in our collective unconscious, through various myths, archetypes, and cultures, and the water element (moon, tides, cycles).
A modern Goddess is like a yogini warrior. She has integrated feminine and masculine qualities, yin and yang energies. She understands how to nourish herself on every level: mind, body, and spirit. She explores ways to connect with her divinity. She attracts others with the awareness of her own divine light, her brightness, peace and powerful energy. She is sensual. She courageously accepts herself and others with unconditional love. This clarity, focus, and energy can intimidate and repel others who may be afraid to deal with or acknowledge their own inner darkness. A modern Goddess has purpose, what a yogini warrior calls dharma.
On Spring Equinox, March 21-23, 2014, we gathered in the Green Mountains of Vermont, to celebrate the divine feminine nature that all human beings contain within. On this women’s retreat, we used various tools like meditation, journaling, chanting, yoga warm-ups + postures, breath techniques, tribal belly dance, massage, sauna, steam room, swimming, Ayurvedic cooking and nourishing local food, nature, and alone time to experience inner peace and activate Great Goddess energy. We experienced community through these activities as well as through our study of the Goddess as she’s appeared throughout the past and is manifesting in the present.
Energy Meditation + Practice:
Following your own centering of about 15 minutes (which could include breath-work, mantra, a ritual like lighting a candle, etc.), tune in to the Great Goddess energy available to you at all times.
Connect with a sense of inner silence and peace. Imagine an open crown chakra and luminous light, Goddess energy, descending downward to the Earth. Next imagine light slowly rising back up your spine, and so forth.
Imagine the light at your heart chakra radiating out in all directions. visualize this light connect to the heart of the Goddess. She may appear to you as a past-life, ancient version of yourself or as a particular incarnation of the Goddess Energy that resonates with you, like the Virgin Mary, Isis, Yemaya, Gaia, Brigid, Hekate, Persephone, Saraswati, Gaia, Ixchel, Athena, or Durga for example.
Listen for any messages that may arise from your Goddess.
You may ask your Goddess for specific insights as you connect with her.
During the vision you may or may not receive an answer.
Thank the Goddess and journal your entire experience.
Be aware of this throughout the day and as you go to sleep at night. Stay connected and ask your Goddess self to aid the vibration and ascension of the Earth and Humanity.
The guiding divine light is with you always and available to you. To aid your heightened vibrations, love yourself and all others unconditionally.
