“Happy Mountain Jam everybody,” as Warren Haynes says (festival founder and longtime guitarist with The Allman Brothers Band and founding member of Gov’t Mule). It was for me. Counterculture and music festivals remind me that I’m not alone. That leaving behind normal can be freedom. That music can set you free.
According to Wikipedia, “In its short history, Mountain Jam has become one of the top music festivals in the U.S. and the premier festival in the Northeast. Rolling Stone Magazine named the Mountain Jam Festival one of the Top 8 Music Festivals in the Country.”
Ben Lanza worked as a Stage Manager on the West Stage for All Phases Event Group. All Phases is also the production company we work for at the Wanderlust Festivals.
I’m grateful for Mountain Jam and the opportunities Ben and I have to work in this business, for the music:
(Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule, Pretty Lights, Bob Weir and Rat Dog, Damian Marley, Beats Antique, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Umphrey’s McGee, The Avett Brothers, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Blitzen Trapper, Anders Osborne, Antibalas, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Citizens Band Radio, Connor Kennedy, Dark Star Orchestra, The Dough Rollers, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (ft. Sean lennon & charlotte kemp muhl), Jackie Greene, Jeff Tweedy, Jonathan Wilson, Lucius, Moon Taxi, Paul Green Rock Academy, Reignwolf, Sean Rowe, Trampled By Turtles, Treetop Flyers, Valerie June, The Weeks + more),
for the creativity everywhere, for the old friends I saw there and new friends I made.
